In 2018 I started Ungardening Native Plants, a nursery and consultation business focused on providing people with the knowledge to dive into yard-scale ecological restoration projects, and the locally native plants to do it with. In 2019 I grew plants on my family's small hobby farm in Durham, but I'm looking to expand, since the demand for local native plants greatly exceeds my growing capacity. Ideally I'm looking for a place with at least 5 acres and a place to live. These don't have to be traditionally farmable acres, or even cleared, as my goal is to grow plants for seed collection in a naturalistic way, and that means I will be happy to work with what's there! Currently, my business (although I'm transitioning to a nonprofit soon), is focusing more and more on the consultations, but that is only because of my lack of land. A more detail bio of myself, as well as links to my podcast interviews are available on my blog, but I'm most active on Instagram @ungardening, where I share plant identification and other information.
