I've been raising sheep/goats for 12 years (20 to 40 lambs per year), had chickens for two years, have a lifetime of horse experience and have many years of home gardening and canning. My three teenagers are all in their high school's ag program. I am looking for a farm of at least 10 acres and preferably much more, with housing for the four of us and to continue to raise, and increase our number of, sheep/goats for meat and fiber (and land clearing if needed for the property). I'd like to grow vegetables and fruit to sell fresh and as value added products, and, if possible, add cattle, pigs, chickens and ducks to the livestock to round out the rotational grazing. Farming with animal welfare as a priority, and organic principles as our guide, we have healthy happy productive sheep. The meat is delicious and the fiber is outstanding.
