Description
Absolute novice to farming. Career Coast Guard Officer looking to shift from a life at sea to farming, with an eventual goal of raising my own pork for production and sale of high-end cured meat products, that are raised, harvested, aged/cured on-premise (10-120 acres). I am researching and highly motivated by regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices; would be happy to purchase virgin growth, or out-of-use/former farmland which needs clearing. Would gladly buy a property that needs years of work prior to becoming a working commercial venture, but could sustain a modest homestead in the process. Eager to protect land from (sub)urban development.
