I own a restaurant in Danbury, CT. We are interested in raising many of the items we use every week. Some of those things are: Eggs, herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, fennel, zucchini, carrots, potatoes, onions, berries, apples, peaches, dairy, pork and beef and poultry. We currently smoke our own bacon and roast our coffee in the urban setting of the restaurant. We would like to move both operations to the farm. We are also interested in developing selected farm buildings or open space into an event venue. We are not afraid of a project or fixer upper. I am experienced in running a successful business and all of the learning on the fly that entails. My husband is a mechanic of 28 years and I am a chef. We have 5 children who are in varying stages of life (1 in college, 1 out of school, three at home) We are looking to live on the farm as well. We have a large down payment but would be interested in seller financing for the first 5 years or more or a rent to own situation.
