Jen Becker

I have been farming professionally for 15 years. Most of my experience has been in Alaska, but I have also farmed in the Catskills, and in North Stonington, CT. I really miss being my own boss, and would like to pursue this option again. I am originally from Westerly, and am returning to the area after 24 years away. 

I only put 2 acres as the acreage desired because a value is required. I’m open to other size acreages. 

I have experience with large Community Supported Agriculture operations (400 members). I am a beginner in orchard management. But the bulk of my experience is growing vegetables for CSA and wholesale. I am an experienced beekeeper.

My business plan would really be tailored to the actual piece of land, and the relationship with the landowner— what he/she/them would like to see happen. And it will of course be a work in progress. But the sky’s the limit and the opportunities are out there, so I encourage you to reach out and take the first step.
