A little about me; I am a first generation American to Sicilian immigrants, I am married to a supportive, outspoken women who is an Army veteran and current pediatric nurse. Both of my parent's families were established farmers and butchers in their respective towns, which was carried on by the families when they moved to the US. I grew up working on my uncle's family owned and operated farm as an adolescent. I attended Lyman Memorial High school where I was actively part of the agricultural program for all four years.
After graduating from high school my agricultural experiences shift from livestock based farming to landscaping and plant based farming. I have worked for two different landscaping companies and have also worked seasonally for Prides Corner Farms. Through my adolescent and high school working on my family's farm and then through my working experiences after high school I have acquired and broad range of skills that I believe will help my be successful in my own farming endeavors. I also successfully completed my CDL Class B licensure course earlier this year.
The main reasons I am interested in starting farming at this time is because I would like to continue to grow and preserve the tradition that is local family based farming. I would also like to use this to provide employment options to others within my community and to use this as an opportunity to also preserve natural farming lands and local habitats.
