Looking to start a hydroponic vegetable farm. I have a business plan but it does need to be updated from last year. I am now preparing to sell my existing home and buy a farm with housing on it along with room for greenhouses to be built. I’m really passionate about it and truly believe I can make this work.
I have a 20+ year background in IT and administrative management with a love of plants and growing things from my father. Growing up we had a large garden and in my current house I have had multiple gardens. Now I want something larger, productive, hopefully profitable, and something to better my community and my neighbors. Its something I wish I did years ago and I’m going to do my best to make it happen now.
I have been growing hydroponically for the past 2 years with lettuce, spinach, and herbs. I grow tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers on a small scale as well. My training has been spent in books, workshops, hands on trial and error, and food safety courses. The food I currently grow is given away to my neighbors and the response has been overwhelmingly positive for the quality and taste of what I've grown.
I am reaching out through CT Farm Link to see if I can find a property to purchase. I plan to stay in CT and any town within it that has the farm that speaks to my wallet and heart.
