Biotech scientist for 38 years. Started out part-time small scale beef operation in 2004 which eventually included hogs. Began really studying and employing regenerative systems around 2010. Completed an online permaculture design course in 2015. Ran a 7 family vegetable CSA using no-till systems in 2018. I am currently growing for a Hartford food pantry on my 0.75 ac of very deep sandy loam using no-till bio-intensive system. Looking to branch out into a diversified regenerative farm situation again either as a partner or an employee producing for CSA and/or FM. I would really like to scale up systems I have learned. My real strength is problem solving and bringing together cost effective methods to feed the soil biology. I am currently converting my 0.5 ac backyard from lawn with severely depleted soils to productive mini-farm leveraging cover crops, nitrogen fixers, dynamic accumulators, free town produced compost, cardboard and wood chips and Hugelkultur swales build of waste wood from logs of trees washed up from the river. I also have some basic carpentry/building skills as well as stone wall and fence construction
