Description
Hello
I recently moved to New York about 6 months ago from living in rural PA for 10 years. I was renting a farm and had several animals from geese to duck to guineas to chickens, and was about to gain goats and sheep. We had duck eggs and made amazing friends with a wonderful farmer 30 minutes from us who we bought our animals from. We grew zucchini, bamboo beans, sweet peas, pumpkin and various herbs. In a separate area, we ran a small pet daycare and grooming parlor. We made over $11,000 over the course of 3 months and as time continued we increased our size of our coop because we gained more livestock. We looking to do it again, provided we have the space and the ability to improve on our skills. Farming has become part of our family lifestyle and being back in the city, my family feels out of place. I, myself, work as a veterinary nurse and know how to care for animals on a veterinary scale. We try to keep our produce plants as organic as possible. We don’t use pesticides. We’ve found chickens and guineas helped tremendously and also helped with keeping the rest of the pets tick and flea free as well. We are looking for a partnership or a lease to own as we are looking for a permanent farmhouse.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from someone.
