BUDDING FARMER LOOKING FOR LAND FOR LEASE / PARTNERSHIPS

Hi there! I'm a young farmer in search of my next stepping stone - property and/or partnerships in CT. 

I am currently a farm manager on a private estate with 2 years of farming experience and 6+ years of horticultural experience. I also have experience as a project manager in the environmental consulting sector as well as about 10 years of extensive research and lots of passion about local, sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

My goal right now is to get connected with existing or interested CT land/farm owners in order to create or maintain a small market garden. The business plan(s) that I've created are flexible depending on the location, size and type of land. I'm interested in some of the following activities/sources of revenue:

  • Farmers Markets
  • Direct sales to restaurants
  • CSA shares
  • Cut flower production
  • Propagating and selling vegetable starts
  • Propagating and selling native plants
  • Designing, installing and maintaining vegetable gardens for private clients

 

I currently live in the Stamford metro area but am open to relocating within Fairfield county for this venture.
