I am looking for a lovely small scale farm in or near Middlesex County, CT to relocate my parents to from their beautiful 20 acre farm in Northern Idaho.

I helped with the family farm as a child through young adulthood - they have been farming/homesteading over the course of their entire life. I would like my young adult children and their future children to be able to enjoy that legacy and gain from that wealth of knowledge and experience.

We would ideally be looking for something with housing that could accommodate my parents full time with the potential for building a second dwelling or In law apartment for us to visit and contribute labor on weekends etc. A large farmhouse works too!!

We would be looking to create or continue a hobby-scale business selling herbs and produce for farmers markets and locally grown outlets. My parents have extensive experience with chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, haying, produce, florals, hoop house growing, building, equipment repair and maintenance etc.

Down the road we would love to become part of the Food Assistance Farmers Market SNAP program in CT!
