Description

Stable Grounds Therapeutic Farm Sanctuary is a newly established 501(c)(3) looking to serve New Haven County by creating a healing space for the land, horses, and people. 

We are hoping to find land within a 20 minute drive to the city of New Haven. We will steward this land by soil restoration rewilding the land ecosystem through planting and cultivating native species. Our non-profit aims to be a model of a mutually beneficial space for land stewardship and horse husbandry practices. Through the restoration of the land ecosystem, this will provide forage for the horses. We will model innovative and sustainable horse husbandry practices like track systems and rotational pastures, as well as adding shrubbery and trees to support water drainage and pasture management.
