Description
My husband and I are looking to move to a farm property and have limited full time farming exeprience. He works part time from home and I am freeing up more time. We do have a lot of local folks as resources, including Grange members.
I have always had a garden and I am the leader/organizer of the community garden at Trinity College in Hartford for the past ~8 years. I have been looking to purchase a farm property in or near Simsbury (our son is still in school) but have not found anything suitable so I thought farmlink might be a good strategy.
We are open to farm size but hope to have at least one greenhouse.
We plan to learn as we go, and we are open to arrangmeents and properties. Our daughter is in college and wants to farm when she gets finished so this could help us with a multigenerational plan and/or help her get established.
I know this seems a little vague, but we are hardworking and responsible people and happy to support farming. This has been a long-held goal and we are in no rush - we are slowly trying to move closer to it.
