I am currently in the process of building a farmhouse focused restaurant in Brooklyn, NY and have been looking to purchase a farm as a way to sustainably grow my business and create a self-reliant food system.
The plan is to have a 15+ acre farm producing mostly vegetables, with as much diversity as possible, flowers, bees and eventually poultry. I am hoping to be within a 2 hour drive from NYC and am looking for a farm manager to help locate potential property and then build and run the farm.
We want a strong focus on organic, biodynamic and regenerative farming practices and we will not kill animals that are not producing the way we want. The produce on the farm will dictate the menu at the restaurant and not the other way around. Patience, kindness, rehabilitation and conservation are the core concepts and values of everything done on the farm.
